Research interests

My research interests centre on the mental health of children, adolescents, and adults, with particular emphasis on developmental psychopathology and the factors that influence psychological development and mental health across the lifespan.

I am particularly interested in prenatal and family factors associated with a child's development and mental health, as well as the impact of traumatic and stressful experiences on women and families. This also includes my interest in prenatal psychology and in exploring the possible influence of prenatal experiences on later psychological development.

I am also interested in the relationship between family factors and mental health, and in the role of spirituality as a potential risk factor, protective factor, and source of psychological resilience.

My research interests further include psychopathology and psychotherapeutic intervention, as well as the development and evaluation of evidence-based interventions aimed at prevention and the promotion of mental health.
